‘Josie’s Wales’ is my self made documentary/ travelogue . In the Summer of 2023 I decided to try and learn to paint landscapes, whilst simultaneously getting to know my homeland of Wales better, well that was the plan! But what unfolded during this solo adventure turned out to be far more enriching than I could ever have hoped. I am so glad I recorded the entire thing as I am happy to share this intimate and very personal journey in my film, Josies Wales, for the few people who need to see a story like this. I hope it’s universal and that even if you don’t paint or visit Wales you can still enoy its themes. In the end , art and Wales were just the starting point , the real destination turned out to be beyond a physical location and far more rewarding than merely progressing in art.
