‘Josie’s Wales’ is a feature length self made documentary film. In the Summer of 2023 Josie set out alone, across Wales to try and teach herself something new, how to paint ( in her own style) Wales’ glorious landscapes. This intimate film follows Josie on that solo journey.

In the free 15 minute version of the film, you can follow Josie’s progress as she tries to build on each artistic lesson.

In the one hour version however, feels more like an intimate one to one with Josie as she shares some of the personal thoughts behind her process, revealing more of her reclusive, introverted side, we discover not jus how to paint the landscape by why, as she explores the deeper lessons that can be imparted whilst contemplating the landscape. The full version is available to rent on Vimeo and includes several bonus videos as well. Ultimately the film is meant to encourage and inspire viewers in the wider sense , and can be enjoyed regardless of whether you paint or intend to visit Wales.

The free trailer for the full version is a combination of an interview with Josie about the making of the film and also a little fun teaser at the end. The film is niche , so we encourage you to watch the trailer or free version before renting, some viewer reviews are shared below
